Job Purpose 

To assist in the delivery of financial audits in compliance with the Firm Audit Manual and the completion of audit tasks in line with agreed procedures.

Duty station- Kampala 

Job type – Full-Time 

Reporting to: Audit Senior 


Job specification 

  • Review, assess, and recommend changes in accounting systems and controls of clients. ∙ Verify and inspect accounts receivable and payable ledgers and general ledgers of clients for accuracy. 
  • Check, inspect, and reconcile bank deposits and payments. 
  • Check all accounting and clients’ databases are updated and functioning properly. ∙ Study, inspect, and assess, budgets, balance sheets, and other related financial statements and records and identify risks and problems. 
  • Review and recommend changes in internal audit controls. 
  • Check and verify accounting books and records are in conformity with International Financial  Reporting Standards and corporate policies. 
  • Ensure compliance of regulatory guidelines and generally accepted auditing standards. ∙ Familiarize yourself with clients, develop, and maintain good relations with them. ∙ Draft letters and reports for Supervisor 

Responsibilities 

  • A formal communication conveying the results of the audit as it relates to the procedures performed as required to meet the audit objective.


Candidate specification 

Educational requirements 

  • Degree in accounting, business, or related discipline. ∙ ICPAU members, graduates, and advanced studies. 


Work experience. 

  • 1-2 years post-graduation experience. 
  • Critical skills required 
  • High level of Integrity. 
  • Good communication skills. 
  • Ability to work as a member of a team. ∙ Initiative. 
  • Willingness to learn. 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Businesslike personal presentation.
