Position Overview: 

SurePay Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resource Officer to join our team. As a Human Resource Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the organization's human resources functions, ensuring smooth and efficient operations that align with our strategic goals and values. 


Key Responsibilities: 

Recruitment and Onboarding: 

  • Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes,  conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions in collaboration with hiring managers. 
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a positive experience and smooth integration into the company. 


Employee Relations: 

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and issues, providing guidance and support in compliance with company policies and employment laws. 
  • Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions,  and performance improvement plans. 


HR Administration: 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases. 
  • Manage HR documentation, such as employment contracts, policies, and procedures,  ensuring compliance with legal requirements. 


Training and Development: 

  • Coordinate training programs and initiatives to enhance employee skills and competencies, in alignment with business objectives. 
  • Support career development and succession planning efforts within the organization. ∙
  • Compensation and Benefits: 
  • Assist in administering employee compensation and benefits programs, including payroll processing, benefits enrollment, and related tasks. 
  • Conduct market research and analysis to ensure competitive compensation and benefits offerings. 


HR Compliance: 

  • Stay informed about relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance. 
  • Implement HR policies and practices that promote fairness, equity, and a positive work environment. 


HR Projects and Initiatives: 

  • Support special HR projects and initiatives as assigned, contributing to continuous improvement and organizational development efforts.


Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience as an HR Officer, HR Assistant, or similar role, preferably in the fintech or tech industry. 
  • Solid understanding of HR practices, policies, and employment laws. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. ∙
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and MS Office (Word, Excel,  PowerPoint). 


Preferred Skills: 

  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus. 
  • Experience with HR software and tools for recruitment, performance management, and payroll administration.

Location: This position is based at our headquarters on Beta House Plot 1447 Block 216 Buye,  Kigowa. Remote work options may be available based on business needs and location.
