Job Purpose:

The Foreman will oversee construction activities on-site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role involves managing crew members, coordinating tasks, and maintaining quality standards throughout the construction process.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities and workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to execute project requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and report any issues to management.
  • Train and mentor crew members, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
  • Manage materials and equipment on-site, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to timelines.


Candidate Specifications:

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in construction management or a related field is a plus.


Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in construction, with at least in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in managing diverse teams and construction projects is preferred.


Critical Skills Required:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in construction management software is a plus.
