Job Presentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality medical care for outpatients and manage routine inpatient cases.
  • Diagnose and treat common medical conditions, ensuring accurate and timely patient
  • management.
  • Conduct a range of laboratory tests, including for typhoid, syphilis, HIV, HCG, and blood sugar
  • levels.
  • Assist with minor surgical procedures, such as wound care and abscess drainage.
  • Ensure the accurate entry and management of patient data using Health Management
  • Information Systems (HMIS) and relevant digital tools.
  • Lead and participate in health education initiatives aimed at improving community health
  • awareness.
  • Administer immunisations for both children and adults in line with national health guidelines.
  • Support continuous professional development, including training and mentoring junior
  • healthcare staff.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards, ethical codes of conduct, and proper documentation
  • practices.
  • Collaborate in staff duty scheduling and overall team coordination.


Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognised institution.
  • At least one year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong diagnostic and laboratory skills.
  • Fluency in both English and Luganda, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to uphold clinical standards and adhere to professional codes of conduct.
  • Strong organisational, time management, and team collaboration abilities.


Desirable Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in ultrasound imaging.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, HMIS and business management systems such as Odoo.
