Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality medical care for outpatients and manage routine inpatient cases.
- Diagnose and treat common medical conditions, ensuring accurate and timely patient
- management.
- Conduct a range of laboratory tests, including for typhoid, syphilis, HIV, HCG, and blood sugar
- levels.
- Assist with minor surgical procedures, such as wound care and abscess drainage.
- Ensure the accurate entry and management of patient data using Health Management
- Information Systems (HMIS) and relevant digital tools.
- Lead and participate in health education initiatives aimed at improving community health
- awareness.
- Administer immunisations for both children and adults in line with national health guidelines.
- Support continuous professional development, including training and mentoring junior
- healthcare staff.
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards, ethical codes of conduct, and proper documentation
- practices.
- Collaborate in staff duty scheduling and overall team coordination.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognised institution.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong diagnostic and laboratory skills.
- Fluency in both English and Luganda, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to uphold clinical standards and adhere to professional codes of conduct.
- Strong organisational, time management, and team collaboration abilities.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency in ultrasound imaging.
- Familiarity with MS Office, HMIS and business management systems such as Odoo.
