Job purpose:
To provide effective operational support to Localworks Ltd corporate function. To manage all of the operations in our site-based store- room with a strong ability to multi-task as well as play a key role in the proper care and maintenance of our stock, including ordering, receiving, and managing inventory.
Key Responsibilities
The Site Storekeeper shall:
- Maintaining receipts, records, and withdrawals of items from the stockroom for LW,
- Receiving, unloading, and shelving supplies for LW staff,
- Following up on documents and deliveries and confirm local deliveries,
- Supporting the LW team in organizing and preparation of daily activities including coordinating of store requests,
- Performing other stock-related duties, including returning faulty or damaged items, packing, and labeling goods received,
- Ensuring proper handling of items and material in storage from point of receipt to point of issue so as to prevent damage, deterioration, and contamination,
- Inspecting deliveries for damage or discrepancies; report those to administration/ accounting for reimbursements and record keeping
- Ensuring adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control,
- Coordinating the handling and maintenance of equipment, and necessary minor repairs,
- Performs any other duties ad tasks as requested
Required qualifications, competencies, personal attributes and experience
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping and inventory management,
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills,
- Ability to Work independently,
- Willingness to learn new ideas,
- Competencies in data entry, analysis, and management,
- Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time,
- Skills to operate common office equipment,
- Minimum of A’ level certificate or diploma of procurement or related course from a recognized University or higher institution of learning,
- 2+ years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or recordkeeping.
Terms of Employment
- The advertised role is for a project contract, with a probation period of six months. The position is;
- Full-time (48 hours per week);
- 21 days annual leave;
- Health insurance.
