Shift Supervisor - (x1) Soap Production and (x1) Oil Filling.
Job Purpose
To lead the production shift/function in achieving optimal production targets in alignment with sales requirements, maintaining realistic machine efficiency, and effectively minimizing operational costs.

Job specification
Responsibilities (Expected Deliverables)
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to meet production targets based on sales requirements and product min-max levels.
- Troubleshoot parameter changes and implement corrective measures to enhance machine efficiency.
- Monitor product quality and perform root cause analysis to resolve quality assurance non-conformities.
- Inspect products prior to packaging and ensure all products are packed efficiently to meet specified quality and quantity standards.
- Conduct preventive maintenance through routine and total productive maintenance tasks.
- Perform routine machine testing, cleaning, and manage effective changeover processes.
- Ensure sufficient material availability and utilization according to required specifications.
- Coordinate daily stock reconciliation for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Maintain Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards within the department.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual performance reports.
- Ensure efficient and effectivity manpower utilization and deployment
- Facilitate immediate first aid activities as necessary.
- Ensure smooth shift handover and take over.
Candidate specification
- Educational requirements: Minimum Qualification of a Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical and Machine operations with knowledge on ERPs/Oracle
- Work experience. At least 5 years of working experiences preferable in Oil Manufacturing companies with Understanding of Good manufacturing Practices and at least 2 years of being a shift supervisor.
Critical skills required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders and
- Proactive approach to identifying, mitigating production occurrences and creative skills.
Role Value Preposition:
- Gross salary of between Ugx1,500,000 – 2,500,000/= negotiable best on experience,
- Other benefits: Medical for self, meals and telephone allowance.
