Job specification

Responsibilities

• Leading, mentoring, and managing culinary team.
• Developing and planning menus and daily specials.
• Creating prep lists for kitchen crew.
• Managing food costing and inventory.
• Maintaining standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.

Candidate specification

• Educational requirements: A degree or Diploma from a culinary school or college
• Work experience: 2-5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, starting as a line cook or prep cook

Critical skills required

• Proficiency in knife skills, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
• Ability to plan and cost menus
• Strong communication skills for interracting with staff, customers andsuppliers
