3 day trip to Murchison Falls (end July 2018)
Organised and paid for in dollars in advance we had an excellent trip from Kampala up to Murchison Falls where we stayed two nights. Some difficulty accepting "old" (i.e. pre 2013) dollar bills but these were in the end accepted by Belinda, the sister of Godfrey Pule who ran 'Beyond Frontiers Travel'. She introduced us to our driver, Ibrahim, who was knowledgeable about all things Ugandan in particular the flora and fauna. He drove us around very safely, took breaks from driving at appropriate intervals (5-6 hr trip to the area) and worked very hard to get us to see a wide variety of animal life. No problems at all with the van that we were in. We visited the Rhino sanctuary on the way and stayed at Pakuba Lodge - (reviewed elsewhere).
This trip was planned with the greatest of ease. We would have no hesitation in going with them again.

My boyfriend and I went on a safari to Kidepo National Park with Godfrey at the beginning on May. It was an experience of a lifetime and Godfrey went above and beyond to make sure every moment not only in the park but on the way to it was special. He had researched and organised every detail down to the last minute and there was no request too great to ensure we fully enjoyed ourselves. Godfrey was an absolute pleasure to spend the few days we had with and even took us off the beaten track on the way home to visit a hidden waterfall - it certainly was the icing on the cake and made the trip even more magical. He's a fantastic host who is friendly, knowledgable and fun to be around - we hope we can join him again soon and will recommend him to all our friends. We had no issues at all and feel blessed to have found such a great guide.

We hired Beyond Frontiers to transport us from Entebbe to Murchison for two nights and then on to Gulu. We payed in full up front because this is what Godfrey Pule Thompson, the owner insisted on. When we arrived in Murchison our driver informed us that Godfrey had not sent him the money he was owed and threatened to leave the job. I had to text Godfrey several times over a two day period to make sure that we would not be stranded at Murchison. After reading other reviews, I can see this behavior is a pattern for Beyond Frontiers. This company should not be trusted.

We spent 17 days in Uganda and rented a car with a travel company called beyond frontiers from a man called Godfrey Pule Thompson.
From the beginning he insisted that we pay by bank transfer the full amount before we arrived, which we did.
When we arrived the car he offered us for safari was old, dirty and even one of the windows didn't work. It is a safari after all and we are photographers open windows are essential! The car needed to be exchanged and so our driver managed to find another one.
All the time Godfrey was calling and insisting that we pay the driver cash immediately because there was a problem with the bank transfer. We did.
After we discovered the bank transfer was sent back to him so we paid him double, cash and the full amount from the bank.
When we needed to organize to be repaid he was suddenly busy and not easy to reach.
After several emails and endless phone calls to arrange to met him the day before we departed to give us the money back, he gave a whole story how the bank took his money and he could, not pay. It was clear he was playing the most obvious trick in the cheat the dumb tourists book.
We told him he is the perfect example why people are afraid to go to Uganda.
He also didn't pay the driver. In the end we also paid the driver a large tip because he was the one who took care of us and got us the car while Godfrey did nothing but take too much of our money, not pay his employees or refund us, the clients. And make travelling in Uganda have a sour finish.
This situation makes uganda tourism look very bad and creates mistrust in tour operators.

Did the driver tell you that he brought you the broken car, and also organised the replacement car???? can we be objective, those costs could not have been met by Beyond Frontiers Travel and will not, he acted on his own, as for the payments yes it is true a double payment was made but their is spot on evidence of error from the remitting bank and individual who happened to be a relative to the hirer of the car, lets not cut the story short, there were bank withdrawal issues and a cash refund of $200 was made and that leaves a difference of $600 which will be sent through to the rightful owners
