Company description
If you are in Kampala wondering what activity you should do this weekend, paintball should do just fine. While not widely known throughout the city paintball has a number of followers who mark off every opportunity to go out and shoot paint at each other.

Paintball is a game that simulates battles with markers (weapons) that fire coloured paint balls. The game is best played with two sides representing two opposing sides on a battleground. How the ‘battle’ should be ‘fought’ depends on the rules of the grounds where it is happening.

Families are encouraged to go for paintball as it is good ‘clean’ fun. Groups have also been known to camp at Kamooflage for the day of fighting and loud laughs.

The traditional paintball game is, Capture the Flag. Here, the two teams in
Show more contention try to get into their opponents’ territory and get steal their flag.

Each team selects a leader who will provide a plan to ensure their team wins. All players then try to shoot the opposing team members while being prudent not to get shot themselves. In most games, one hit to your ‘armour’ and you are out as it symbolizes being shot on the battle field.

There is an umpire who regulates the game and calls people out. Some formats require the player to shout out that they have been shot and then find their way off the field.

The game is safe and there haven’t been any injuries reported in Kampala yet – although players sometimes complain of bruising if they’re shot at close range. Players are required to wear protective gear (masks, goggles, vests) and face masks that are provided at the sites to be sure that no stray paint ruins their clothes or gets in their eyes. Players are advised to come with long sleeve shirts and jeans trousers.

Even if this is a safe game, it is classified as an extreme sport and can involve some scrapes and bruises. However, the rules are strict and there is an umpire who will step in and stop the game if anyone is hurt or they feel something needs to stop.

Players age six years and above are admitted and each activity has a different price. Players below 13 years old pay 20,000 UGX for ‘Mission Impossible’, 15,000 UGX for target practice. Adults pay 25,000 UGX for team games. Group rates are also available.

You’ll find the park almost directly next the Speke Resort main entrance in Munyonyo.
