Vijana stands for youth. Ours is a mission to save young people in Uganda by helping them to transcend the barriers of poor reading culture, dis-empowerment and seclusion from social and community development. Through our youth friendly programming, we impact our audience by engaging them in self-development activities including continuous reading which is ensured through our established Book Clubs around the country, Debate Programs which is an opportunity for youth to be seen and heard all-over the country, Career development, where we provide internship and fellowship opportunities for young people who are approaching employable ages. Our effort is aimed at building complete youth constructs. A genre of responsible youth are empowered enough to influence policy formulation by speaking for themselves on issues that affect them the most, as well as their communities.
