Eco-Fuel Africa - Lugazi, Uganda

Eco-fuel Africa is aiding African communities to utilize customized technology to turn local farm waste and municipal waste into eco-friendly cooking fuel and natural fertilizer. This is helping to tackle a wide variety of issues; it is slowing the rate of deforestation by reducing the demand for fuel-wood, decreasing indoor air pollution by substituting smoky wood with cleaner-burning fuel, enhancing educational prospects for girls and women by eliminating the need to look for wood, and diminishing malnutrition by providing farmers with access to organic fertilizer.
