Katona Tours provided us with an incredible safari in early June of this year. We traveled to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It's overwhelming to choose a tour company from halfway across the world but Jacquelyne Najjuka at Katona Tours was so helpful and responsive that after months of research, we decided on Katona Tours. We're glad we did. Moses was our tour guide and was helpful, knowledgeable and thoughtful. We knew we were in good hands the entire time. The accommodations in QENP (Mweya Safari Lodge) and Bwindi (Bwindi Safari Lodge) were both outstanding. They were beautiful and the staff at both places were hospitable and attentive. This safari was a dream come true and we thank Jackie and Moses for making it so. One caveat: if you bring cash from the U.S. to pay for your trip, bring unblemished bills ($100 dollar bills preferred) from 2006 or later. We didn't and it caused us some anxiety while we were on safari since we were told that the banks wouldn't accept (or accept at a significantly lower rate) our pre-2006 bills. This was the only negative however!
