GA Insurance Limited is one of the oldest insurance companies operating in Kenya ,Uganda & Tanzania specializing in all classes of general and medical insurance. Having its parentage from General Accident UK, it was incorporated as Kenyan Insurance Company in 1979.

Enjoying its presence for over 50 years, brand GA has earned its standing as one of the reputable insurance companies in Kenya. In 2006, General Accident Insurance Company was acquired by the renowned I&M Bank Group in Kenya. The Bank has operations in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Mauritius.

GA has a balanced business portfolio with high capacities to underwrite Property, Engineering, Marine, Liability and Aviation insurances. We also underwrite tailor made Medical Insurances.

GA has prudently invested in the technology with latest software in general and medical insurances , which has further assisted the company in handling the volumes and get the better control on document deliveries, accounts and reports.

In June 2013, GA launched a new subsidiary company ‘GA Life Assurance Limited’, which is now fully operational for Life Insurance and Retirement Benefit solutions. GA started the regional expansion in 2014 with GA Insurance Tanzania, which is now fully operational.
