Company description
Biggi Family Project, is a Uganda based Non-Governmental Organisation that offers a wide range of research, training and social transformation opportunities to less privileged communities across Uganda.
BIGGI Family Project (BFP) was conceived in 2002 with the passion of enabling communities to access nature friendly herbal medicine and healthier foods so that those who are chronically sick and those who want organic foods access it and live healthier lives. Biggi now has several herbal outlets in strategic areas of Wakiso, Masaka, Kampala and Mbale districts. This is to enable sick persons easily access natural medicines. All our products are approved by the Natural Chemotherapeutic Research Institute of the Republic of Uganda.
Biggi Family Project is an organization whose core
This has propelled us to start a skills training program so that the vulnerable persons acquire skills in processing nutritional medicine, small and medium income generating projects, and zero waste agricultural skills. We have also started a school so that our clients’ children get subsidized education. Children usually miss out on education when their guardians are constantly ill and strained with medical bills. So we enroll these children into our school and ensure that they acquire quality education with practical skills for self sustenance.
We also envision integrating entrepreneurial hands-on skills to formal education such that students acquire lifelong skills to help them create their own jobs. Since our target populations are the rural and urban poor we have included provision of education services to children through not only our schools but other partnering schools.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
- Development and promotion of herbal health solutions.

- Skills development and education to vulnerable groups.
- Promotion of organic urban gardening technologies especially for the urban poor.
- Promote and carry out Research in natural medicine and organic agriculture.

purpose is to provide nourishing herbal medicines to the most vulnerable populations; especially those suffering from chronic diseases like arthritis, infertility in both men and women, boosting body immunity for persons living with HIV/AIDS, Respiratory disorders such as pneumonia and other related diseases and illnesses. Our clients are always strained with high medical bills in hospitals, which cripple their income and hence making them susceptible to absolute poverty. Sadly this affects their job performance due to absenteeism perpetuated by ill health. With time they end up losing their jobs. This has propelled us to start a skills training program so that the vulnerable persons acquire skills in processing nutritional medicine, small and medium income generating projects, and zero waste agricultural skills.
