One day shoebill road trip to Mabamba Swamp
Mabamba Bay Wetland system is a spanning 16,500ha area along the shores of Lake Victoria, North-west of Entebbe. It is among the 33 Important Bird Areas in Uganda described and listed as a wetland of International Importance during the Ramsar COP9 held in Kampala, Uganda in November 2005 for the conservation of Key protected bird species; the pre-historic Shoebill, Papyrus Gonolek and the Blue Swallow.
Found in a few marshes of East Africa, this awe-inspiring whale-headed stork like bird, is classified as vulnerable and is a bucket-list sighting for any bird enthusiast. Save the shoebill; the experience of paddling through man-made channels and lagoons, traversing fishermen, several plants with beautiful flowers, the papyrus reed beds, and birdlife is so rewarding. The spot-necked otters occasionally pop out the waters to have a sneak-peek of the surroundings. The Shoebill, normally stands still for several hours during morning hours of hunting. There is also several other possible encounters besides the shoebill like the rare Lesser Jacana, Blue-breasted bee-eater, Malachite Kingfisher, Hamerkop, Blue-headed Coucal, Wyens’s Weaver, Papyrus Gonolek, the spot-necked otters and many other water creatures

Day 1: Pick up from your Hotel or any spot in Kampala or Entebbe and the surrounding areas
Early, this morning, you will be picked from a hotel or any convenient spot of your choice in Entebbe or Kampala and the surrounding areas and driven straight towards the north to Murchison Falls National Park. We shall have a brief stop midway in Nakasongola at Zziwa Ranches for Rhino tracking, lunch and later drive on via Masindi town all the way to Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat trip in Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda's largest national conservation area and it is famous for its big game, spectacular scenery and the falls for which the park was named. Abundant Hippos, Crocodiles, African Savannah Elephant, Jackson’s Hartebeest Kongoni, African Cape Buffalo, Rothchild’s/Nubian Giraffe, Uganda Kob and Waterbuck can be seen along with occasional Lions, Leopard and Patas Monkeys.

Day 3: From Murchison Falls to Kampala with a stopover at Kaniyo Pabidi for Optional Chimpanzee tracking
Located south of the park, Kaniyo Pabidi covers an area of 28sq km within Murchison Falls National Park close to Kicumbanyobo, the park’s Main entry gate.
We do Chimpanzee tracking here, lunch in Masindi and later continue to Kampala to end our adventure.
Your driver guide will drop you at your hotel or any place of your convenience in Entebbe or Kampala and the surrounding areas.

Day 1: Pick up from your hotel in Nairobi or Airport and head straight to Karura forest for a bird walk
Karura Forest is located north of central Nairobi, gazetted in 1932. It provides a quiet and tranquil environment that inhabits more than 200 bird species.
After here, we shall go birding in Nairobi National Park. It offers a remarkable diversity of birdlife, with a recorded count of over 500 species. With expansive open plains set against the backdrop of the city’s impressive skyline, it stands as the sole national park bordering a metropolis. Day 2: From Nairobi City to Masai Mara
Driving time is 5-6 hours. We shall do an afternoon birding. The Mara, the northern portion of the magnificent Serengeti system, offers spectacular vistas over flat-topped acacia and grassy plains riddled with ungulates and other animals and birds. The reserve is famous Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, African Elephants, gazelles, and other wildlife. For birding we should be rewarded with views of many large raptors and vultures that gather at the kills, as well as storks, Kori Bustard, Southern Ground-Hornbill, Temminck’s Courser, etc.
Day 3: Whole day Birding at Masai Mara
Start very early, look out for cinnamon-breasted Bunting, Rosy-throated Longclaw, etc.
Day 4: From Mara to Nairobi National Park
Drive time is 5-6 hours. The park is located on the southern outskirts of the city and is one of Africa’s smallest national parks (117 sq km). We look out for Secretary bird, Black-winged Plover, Pangani Longclaw, Jackson’s Widowbird, Kori Bustard, Hartlaub’s Bustard,etc
